Petroplan team joins the Chord Energy 5k in Houston
Petroplan was proud to participate in the Chord Energy Houston Corporate 5K, joining Houston’s energy community for an event celebrating teamwork, health and wellbeing.

Held at Memorial Park, the Corporate 5K brings together professionals from across the energy industry and wider business community. Welcoming runners, joggers and walkers of all fitness levels, the event encourages participants to connect with colleagues, enjoy the outdoors and embrace an active lifestyle.
For Petroplan, it was an opportunity to bring the team together outside the workplace. While everyone had their own personal goals, the experience was about more than crossing the finish line. It was about supporting one another, enjoying friendly competition and strengthening relationships.
Working closely with the global energy industry, Petroplan understands the importance of collaboration, resilience and strong professional relationships. Events like the Corporate 5K reflect these values while reinforcing the importance of creating a positive, connected workplace culture.
The event also highlighted the value of prioritising wellbeing. Physical activity, time outdoors and shared experiences can contribute to a healthier working environment, helping teams connect beyond their day-to-day responsibilities.

“The Chord Energy Houston Corporate 5K was a brilliant opportunity to bring our team together, get active, and connect with others across the energy industry,” said Helen Fowler, Petroplan’s Head of Recruitment Operations.
“Strong relationships are built through collaboration and shared experiences. Events like this remind us of the importance of looking after our wellbeing while having fun together. We’re grateful to be part of such a fantastic community initiative and proud of our team of four for getting involved.”
Petroplan thanks Chord Energy, the event organisers and everyone involved in bringing Houston’s business community together for such a positive occasion.
For our team of four, the 5K reinforced that success is not simply measured by finishing times, but also by the relationships we build and the encouragement we offer one another.
Here’s to teamwork, wellbeing and continuing to strengthen connections across Houston’s energy community!
