Job Description

On behalf of our operator client, Petroplan is seeking a Project Manager for a Rig Return to Service (RTS) / Drilling Rig Reactivation Project.

The role if offered inside IR35 - 37.5 Hour working week with 'Flex days'

Rate is negotiable (DOE)

Role Overview:

• Responsible for delivering safe, technically sound projects on time and within budget, managing project scope, budget, and schedule while adhering to corporate processes, standards, and regulatory requirements. This includes preparing and maintaining all project documentation and ensuring full commissioning and proper handover to the drilling team.

• Works closely with internal teams (e.g., operations, wells, drilling, and contracting functions) to align project execution with business objectives and maximize cross-functional capabilities, ensuring efficient and smooth offshore delivery.

• Oversees project budget across its lifecycle, ensuring cost-effectiveness, strategic expenditure control, and alignment with departmental and project goals. Supports tendering, selection processes, and continuous improvement in cost management techniques.

Key Requirements

Qualifications:

Essential: Engineering degree

Preferred: Project Management training, Chartered Engineer status

Experience & Skills:

Proven experience in project delivery specifically in Rigs/decommissioning.

Strong safety leadership / Awareness of operational drilling activities

Understanding of design engineering, industry codes, standards, and quality assurance
