Job Description
Description: The Wells Analyst will be required to submit drilling/completion information, and abandonment (downhole and/or surface) information to the Regulator in the required format (including all frac information, logs) in all provinces operates in. They will complete well status changes for well start up, suspensions, etc. in all provinces client operates, will correctly record key well lifecycle elements and changes in the well management database, and maintain the well file throughout its life cycle. The successful applicant will need to build an understanding of the various downhole reporting requirements, and oil and gas regulatory directives, guidelines, and land systems. Skills required include a proven ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of tasks, effective communication and collaboration in a team setting, and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Submit required drilling/completion information, and abandonment (downhole and/or surface) information to the Regulator in required format (including all frac information, logs) in all provinces clients operates.
- Complete well status changes for well start up, suspensions, etc. in all provinces Client operates.
- Receive reclamation certificates, record in well management system, update well file status in Land system.
- Receive, file, and submit all well tests to the regulator (Annual Isolation Packer testing, Annual pool pressure, Initial well testing requirements).
- Submit Maximum Wellhead Injection Pressures (MWHIP) in Saskatchewan.
- Update and maintain the digital Well File throughout its life cycle.
- Correctly record key well lifecycle elements and changes in the well management database and perform data quality.
Requirements:
- Certification in Petroleum Land OR technical training in well related focus.
- 3-5 years’ experience in downhole reporting, well licensing activities, or a combination of experience in both is preferred or an understanding of oil & gas drilling and completions terminology.
- Understanding of the Oil & Gas regulatory Directives, Manuals and Guidelines in Western Canada.
- Knowledge of land and public data systems (Accumap, Abadata, Wellview, CS Land/LandView, Stack, SAP, Generwell, Petrinex, IRIS, Onestop, DDS).
- The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail oriented, collaborative within a team setting
