IT Solutions Lead (Related to Geoscience & Reservoir Domanins)Location: Qatar Full time Staff Position The Role: Lead the team and oversees IT solutions and services related to the Geoscience & Reservoir domains and upstream data management and ensuring continuity of services in accordance with corporate business needs and expectations in close relationship with the Subsurface Development and Exploration entities.
Lead, manage, and deliver multiple high value IT projects related to digitalization and enhancing the technology in the subsurface domain.
Your Role and Responsibilities:- Establish and reinforce positive influence with key stakeholders through defined communication channels to ensure alignment between delivered solutions / services and business demands.
- Lead and monitor high value IT projects in the upstream domain to deliver state-of-the-art technology that fulfils business need within the project baseline while contributing to business changes management.
- Manage the team, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure smooth operations and support services.
- Develop and manage capacity planning including infrastructure resources and application licensing as per the business need.
- Develop and manage capital and operating budgets in line with corporate financial policies and procedures through forecasting long-term and short-term demands while ensuring optimization to deliver information technology services in the most cost-effective manner.
- Ensure proper monitoring and analyses of the solutions’ performance, and liaison with ICT sections and vendors for system performance tuning.
- Oversee purchase requisitions and manage contracts and agreements of the solutions while ensuring that contractual commitments to vendors are met.
- Develop and manage domain specialized resources to enhance the team’s capabilities, performance, workloads, and support the Departmental Qatarization plan.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering / Petroleum / Geoscience or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive and directly related experience including minimum 5 years of supervisory management responsibilities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of subsurface technologies and trends.
- Experience in managing and executing multiple high value subsurface and Technical IT projects and services for energy organisations; knowledge and practice of tools and methodologies like PMI or PRINCE2.
- Experience in establishing and managing partnerships, contracts and agreements.
- Familiar with international Oil and Gas and ICT industry standards, architecture, integration, methods and solutions.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and communicate with a multi-cultural and multi-national workforce, excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate concepts as appropriate to management, customers, contractors, and staff.
