Project Engineer

Job Description

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from start to finish.
• Work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project operations.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
• Track and manage project schedules using construction management software.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and procurement efforts.
• Assist in quality assurance and safety compliance throughout the construction process.
• Coordinate with design professionals, local authorities, and utility companies as required.
• Help identify and mitigate project risks.
• Attend site meetings and conduct field inspections as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in commercial construction; internships or co-ops may be considered.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• OSHA certification preferred but not required.
