Hydraulic Workover Unit Supervisor


Job Purpose
The Hydraulic Workover Unit Supervisor will supervise the rig up and operation of the hydraulic workover unit operations associated activities to ensure it is in accordance with the well program.

Additionally, will ensure workover operations are carried out in a safe, efficient and productive manner.

Key Result Areas (Key Accountabilities)

Operations/Maintenance:

1. Supervise SIT activities and pre-job preparations onshore to ensure the hydraulic workover unit and auxiliary equipment is fully functional prior to load out.
2. Prepare HWU stack-up drawings, lay-out drawings, BOP matrix and P&IDs for upcoming scopes.
3. Liaise with the Hydraulic Workover Unit Co-ordinator, for all equipment logistic and crew changes to ensure efficient operations.
4. Liaise with the Hydraulic Workover Unit Co-ordinator, to maintain an inventory of critical spare parts and yearly usage.
5. Lead in troubleshooting of hydraulic workover unit and auxiliary equipment malfunctions to ensure timely repairs.
6. Monitor the maintenance, repair and installation of all hydraulic workover unit equipment including repair, lubrication, maintenance records, and inventory levels.
7. Act as performing authority for all workover related work permits.
8. Supervise equipment preparation for upcoming drilling operations.
9. Assist in planning the job activities including platform pre-job visits for crane and hydraulic workover unit installations

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Job Related Competencies
Qualifications:

• Valid OGUK (Oil and Gas UK) approved Medical Certificate or equivalent.
• Valid Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET)Certificate.
• Valid Well Control Certificate (Supervisor Level, Surface/Subsea BOP Stack issued by an institution approved by International Well Control Forum (IWCF)).

Experience Profile:

• 15 years of experience
• Strong HSE background and regulatory knowledge regarding the implementation and/or compliance with the various policies and standards.
• Awareness of legislative, statutory requirements relevant to the Installation.

Competencies/Skills/Others:

• Knowledge of all technical calculations required for the safe operation of the drilling activities.
• Strong leadership, management and decision-making skills.
