Job Description

Petroplan is currently recruiting a Senior Electrical Technician who will Coordinates and provide technical input for equipment decommissioning, fault finding, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of medium and low voltage electrical generation and distribution equipment, including associated switchgear on the assigned production platform and remote wellheads as needed.
Ensures the maintenance and accuracy of asset electrical drawings and records for decommissioning scopes. Conducts technical surveys to support engineering efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all electrical personnel on board (POB) activities and coordinate additional manpower for decommissioning.
* Oversee site electrical decommissioning activities and manage vendors and subcontractors.
* Ensure comprehensive work history recording in line with company quality requirements.
* Support integrated planning to minimize decommissioning impact on plant uptime.
* Adhere to company procedures, conducting detailed risk assessments and toolbox talks.
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of daily time writing
* Accurately complete Oracle requests for material orders and inventory call offs with correct budget codes and QA/QC checks.
* Provide supervision and technical support to team members.
* Maintain effective communication with colleagues at all levels.
* Responsible for electrical team performance, development, and annual competence assessments.
* Participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process, ensuring timely decommissioning within budget.
* Update and maintain accurate electrical drawings following company As Built procedures.
* Identify and implement necessary changes to maintain accurate electrical operating procedures.
* Identify opportunities for cost reduction related to decommissioning. * Support shutdown-related activities by coordinating with operations and shutdown coordinators.
* Report all accidents and incidents, leading or participating in investigations as required.
* Conduct audits to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and site directives.
* Assist in analyzing work requests, determining time, materials, or spare parts needed, and preparing "permit to work" documents.
* Provide instructions to lower-level technicians, lead major assignments, and conduct fault finding and repairs.
* Conduct activities in accordance with company safety procedures, isolating equipment before work, and following safety instructions and notices. * Participate in company safety programs.
* Perform emergency response roles as required.

Educational Qualifications:
* Completion of Secondary Education, followed by a 3-year full-time Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Trades.
* Qualifications equivalent to B. Tech or a 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Experience Profile:
* Recognized electrical apprenticeship or training.
* Recognized training in best practices for working on HV/LV power systems, with competence assessed every 5 years.
* Five years' experience in working on HV switchgear, generators, electrical installations, and certified electrical equipment.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the Company Permit to Work system and Electrical Safety Regulations.
* Sound knowledge of relevant Offshore Legislation and Statutory Instruments.
* Sound knowledge of all relevant Codes of Practice, including NEC, NFPA, and IEC Standards.
* CompEx certification (EX 01, EX 02, EX 03, and EX 04) for installing and inspecting electrical equipment in hazardous locations (Compulsory)
