PV Project Developer - France

Petroplan is delighted to support one of our client which is an international renewable energy investor who is looking for a talented PV Plant Manager to join their team in France.

You will work from home within your region, with regular travel to our client country Head Office or Paris office.

Our client, established 15 years ago, is now among the top 10 largest investors and developers in the European renewable energy sector.

As the PV Project Developer, you will be responsible for developing solar greenfield projects, from site identification to obtaining authorizations.

Responsibilities:

• Prospecting New Opportunities: Identifying new project opportunities in your region.
• Engaging with Authorities: Interacting with planning authorities to ensure compliance.
• Budget and Timing Management: Preparing, managing, and reporting on budgets and timelines.
• Project Development: Taking greenfield projects to a ready-to-build status.
• Permit and Planning Oversight: Managing permits and planning processes, including overseeing environmental and ecological surveys and coordinating with the internal technical team.
• Networking: Building local networks and identifying leads in collaboration with local partners and scouts.
• Securing Land Rights: Ensuring the acquisition of necessary land rights.
• Optimizing Project Models: Contributing to the improvement of project calculation models.

Requirements:

• Competence and Experience Expectations
• 3 to 5 years of experience in solar project development and prospecting
• Solid background in solar projects, preferably greenfield development
• Strong relationship-building skills with sellers, developers, and partners
• Experienced in drafting agreements (e.g., Letter of Intent, Land Lease Agreement)
• Proficient in stakeholder management
• Skilled in financial modeling with excellent financial understanding
• Results-oriented and independent
• Master's degree in engineering or business
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
• Project management experience
• Fluent in French and English
