We have partnered with our trusted client that is looking for an Senior Analyst, Finance.

The role will be responsible for financial analyses, forecasting, planning and providing financial support to other teams onsite.

Responsibilities:
  • Involved in the budgeting process, implementing new systems and analytical tools
  • Identify gaps and provide recommendations to improve financial performance such as reducing costs, optimizing working capital, streamlining processes etc.
  • Optimize Supply Chain performance of the site, including supplier performance, inflation/deflation on purchases, working capital, inventory, cost of quality, work order fulfillment
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the budgeting process, implementing new systems and analytical tools where required
  • Develop controls to ensure compliance with processes and accuracy of financials
  • Partner with broader FP&A team to incorporate Supply Chain's budget into the company's overall financial plan
  • Report variances against budget and forecast with simple takeaways and actions to improve the company's results
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or related field
  • Exposure to site operations
  • 3 or more years of professional experience in Finance
  • Demonstrated understanding of key financial concepts, including but not limited to financial statements, cash flow, net present value, and return on investment
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative abilities
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to simplify complex projects and concisely convey key insights
  • Ability to accurately prepare professional daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA/Master of Finance
  • Experience in an operating company within the energy industry
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience working on a team with engineers and operators

Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company's Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global's modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

The Senior Finance Analyst will be responsible for financial analysis, forecasting, planning and will support the design, development, implementation and maintenance of metrics and business-critical reporting to meet Venture Global's goals. This role requires strong quantitative and analytical skills and provides financial support to Maintenance, Materials Management & Procurement teams at site. The successful candidate will be eager to learn, demonstrate curiosity and high attention to detail, have passion to work on a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to a rapidly changing environment.

This position will be located at the Plaquemines LNG site. Point of reference: 20200 Highway 23 Port Sulphur, LA 70083.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain metrics and business-critical reporting to drive business decisions and improve Venture Global's operations.
  • Work in close collaboration and have rhythms in place with the Maintenance, Materials Management and Procurement teams at site; identify gaps and provide recommendations to improve financial performance such as reducing costs, optimizing working capital, streamlining processes etc.
  • Be the go-to resource for Supply Chain performance of the site, including supplier performance, inflation/deflation on purchases, working capital, inventory, cost of quality, work order fulfillment
  • Develop controls to ensure compliance with processes and accuracy of financials
  • Partner with broader FP&A team to incorporate Supply Chain's budget into the company's overall financial plan
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the budgeting process, implementing new systems and analytical tools where required
  • Understand and be able to report variances against budget and forecast with simple takeaways and actions to improve the company's results
     
Required Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field; MBA/Master of Finance is a plus
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in Finance with exposure to site operations
  • Demonstrated understanding of key financial concepts and the financial impact of operational decisions
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of MS Office (mainly Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI) and SAP; ability to extract relevant data and convert into simplified analysis and communication is critical
  • Demonstrated curiosity and ability to think creatively with high standards of accuracy and precision
  • Must be highly analytical with demonstrated experience in critical thinking and analytical problem-solving
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others and work cross-functionally
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to simplify complex projects and concisely convey key insights
  • Passion for being a part of a dynamic team environment with rapidly changing assignments and priorities
  • Demonstrated initiative and ownership of work with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to accurately prepare professional daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally
