Project Overview:
Our client is among the most respected engineering, project management, and construction companies in the world. Their focus on renewables and clean energy is helping our customers deliver transformational projects improving the global carbon footprint on a path to net zero. Our client's renewables team will perform project management, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup for utility-scale photovoltaic generating plants throughout various locations in the US. The Escape Solar Project is a 185MWac / 226.5MWdc utility-scale PV solar project, located Lincoln County, NV. The owner has the necessary approvals and commercial arrangements in place for an initial build of 70MWac followed by the remaining 115 MWac.

Position Summary: This role involves managing and providing medical and first-aid services at project sites or facilities. The nurse performs duties in accordance with directives from a consulting physician and local regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational, primary, and emergency medical services to project personnel.
  • Administer initial first aid and provide follow-up treatment under senior medical supervision or a consulting physician.
  • Offer occupational health advice to address work-related injuries and health issues.
  • Evaluate and refer cases to physicians or hospitals as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and project policies in nursing care.
  • Maintain and monitor medical equipment, including monthly equipment checks and managing supply inventories.
  • Ensure medications are properly stored, within expiration dates, and manage procurement requests.
  • Utilize the Electronic Medical Records System and ensure accuracy in medical documentation.
  • Dispense medications within clinical practice guidelines.
  • Support drug and alcohol testing programs and conduct screenings.
  • Provide certified training to the site First Aid/Rescue Team.
  • Assist in the Project's "Return to Work" Program and collaborate with the workers' compensation team.
  • Prepare incident and medical reports, and support risk management in claims handling.
  • Perform other Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) duties and training as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and active RN license for the state of Nevada.
  • 2-5 years of occupational health and emergency nursing experience.
  • Certification in drug and alcohol testing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate qualification in Occupational Health.
  • Experience working in construction sites and familiarity with workers' compensation regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Previous experience in occupational health, ER, or ICU.
  • Certification as a first aid/CPR instructor.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
