About the Company
A leading EPC contractor specializing in utility and industrial process infrastructure projects, including substations, power generation, industrial facilities, and renewable fuel projects. The company leverages a team of experienced professionals to execute engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts for large-scale, complex projects, including HVDC substations and industrial facilities in the western U.S., with anticipated project starts in late 2024.

Position Overview
The Senior QA/QC Manager will oversee all quality assurance and quality control aspects across the engineering, design, procurement, and construction phases. This role ensures compliance with all applicable procedures, policies, and project-specific requirements, and may require extended on-site presence as dictated by project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute the Quality Management System for projects.
• Develop, manage, and coordinate QA/QC program initiatives and requirements.
• Serve as the primary QA/QC contact for the client, authorized to address all related matters.
• Review inspection and test plans, procedures, and method statements in coordination with the Construction Manager.
• Ensure all project components comply with contract specifications and approved submittals.
• Conduct and oversee all required inspections and tests at each project phase as per quality plans and contract obligations.
• Issue and manage non-conformance reports, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken.
• Conduct and support internal quality audits in collaboration with Construction Managers.
• Maintain and provide access to quality audit findings, relevant documents, and codes/standards on-site.
• Identify and address quality-related training needs.
• Manage inspection, measuring, and testing equipment, ensuring compliance with quality system procedures.
• Supervise testing laboratories and associated personnel.
• Monitor subcontractor performance for quality compliance.

Reporting Structure
Reports to the Project Director.

Qualifications and Experience

• 20 years of QA/QC experience in electrical substation or similar facility construction, startup, and operation.
• Expertise in representing EPC contractors and establishing systems/processes to meet project quality requirements.

Location
Headquartered in Paramus, NJ, with flexibility for extended on-site work as project needs require.
