Intervention Engineer

Job Description

• Support technical and planning for FPSO based well kill
• Engage fluids and pumping contractor(s) focused on fluid selection and equipment availability (building on previous work scope completed)
• Drive fluid selection criteria with Production Engineering / Asset based on future well needs
• Develop and Initiate testing requirements with service provider
• Liaise with Facilities Engineering and EPC contractor on work scope - tie in points, equipment layout, etc.
• Complete technical and risk-based assessment for Well Kill execution decision
• Develop timeline for potential execution (various solution options)
• Engage with service companies/operators on previous experience for alternative pumping solutions (eg. direct to well hydraulic intervention)
• Complete an analysis into well kill from a vessel and what would be required from a certifying authority and regulatory perspective for this to become an option
• Engage with Certifying Authority on vessel classification requirements to identify if option viable offshore East Coast
• Complete comparison of the well kill from an FPSO and well kill from a vessel to determine path forward
• Demonstration of previous experience from complementary workscopes in offshore environments
