Senior Lawyer

Job Description

A major Solar company in Cape Town are seeking a Senior Lawyer to join their team.
This will be a permanent staff role, paid monthly, coming with a full staff package.
You will be working in the office twice a week, and they hybrid from home.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing and supportive team and is now implementing transformational projects across the African continent. 
This role will provide legal support to the group of companies to in relation to development activities, asset management and good corporate governance. 
Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

• Bachelor´s Degree in Law 
• Minimum of 6 years post-admission experience, 4 years of which has been in the project finance and/or utility-scale energy industries. 
• Experienced legal counsel with proven power project transaction record gained in well regarded private practice firm and/or in-house 
• Experience of greenfield development, ideally gained in emerging markets
• Experience of working with lenders, financiers, EPC Contractors, OEMs and joint venture partners
