Gas Turbine Design Engineer (Off-Site, 18-Month Assignment)

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (EST)
  • Assignment Duration: 18 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop 2D and 3D finite element models for gas turbine components.
  • Conduct thermal, structural, modal, and forced response analyses, incorporating thermal and mechanical loads.
  • Perform lifting analysis (LCF, HCF, creep, oxidation, fracture mechanics), and postprocess results to create Campbell diagrams.
  • Present technical findings and design reviews using PowerPoint, with an emphasis on 2D and 3D models.
  • Utilize ANSYS for analysis and heavily support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts.

Technical Requirements:

  • US Person status required (Export-Controlled Material Access).
  • 2 years of engineering design experience in gas turbine engines.
  • Experience in root cause analysis (RCA), and proficiency in classic ANSYS (2 years).
  • UG/NX experience (2 years), along with knowledge of GD&T standards.
  • Familiarity with PLM or Teamcenter for configuration management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer-oriented mindset, and a team player with a proactive attitude.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Engineering.
