Job Description

Our client is seeking a Full-Time Coupa, Enterprise Applications Administrator to support US based LNG export facility and service the global demand for North American natural gas. This Houston-based position will support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, configure, and maintain the Coupa platform to align with evolving business needs.
  • Act as the primary subject matter expert on the Coupa system, providing guidance on best practices and platform capabilities.
  • Oversee user access and permissions, managing restrictions across all modules, including Procurement, Contracts, Sourcing, and Supplier Information.
  • Govern and maintain workflow configurations and company settings across various Coupa modules.
  • Manage and support integrations between Coupa and ERP systems, as well as other connected applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing comprehensive support to users.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation to support training, change management, and system processes.
  • Support periodic user access reviews and internal audits to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with business users to identify gaps and recommend process optimization improvements.
  • Address Coupa production issues through ITSM tools, resolving incidents, service requests, and user inquiries efficiently.
  • Conduct unit testing and support user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Work closely with multiple business units in a dynamic environment to support continuous system changes.
  • Liaise with vendors to manage application enhancements, patches, and ensure compliance with organizational patching policies.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) specific to Coupa administration.
  • Provide strategic technical insights and recommendations to ensure applications are scalable, maintainable, and support long-term organizational goals.
  • Demonstrate strong time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Uphold best practices for security and confidentiality when handling sensitive data.
  • Create and update comprehensive documentation of application architecture, configurations, and processes.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Education and Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-10 years of hands-on experience with Coupa, with expertise across various modules (P2P, CLM, SIM, Sourcing, etc.).
  • Proficient in configuring Coupa to support end-to-end lifecycle processes, from sourcing and supplier onboarding to procurement and invoicing.
  • Skilled in implementing effective approval workflows to meet complex business requirements.
  • In-depth understanding of Coupa's company setup across all modules and experience in managing user access and account security.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze business processes and suggest effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams.
  • Previous experience supporting IT applications outside of Coupa is a plus.
  • Adaptability to evolving business needs and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas or a similar industry is preferred
