Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive, self-motivated individual who can work independently and make informed decisions while analyzing complex data from diverse sources. These sources include leases, contracts, division orders, title opinions, and related documents.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of the upstream energy sector, keeping up with industry trends, regulations, and laws that impact core business operations. This role requires exposure to all aspects of ownership and frequent interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
The position demands strong analytical, computer, and interpersonal skills, with familiarity in key business applications. A successful candidate will effectively collaborate with the upstream team, align with company goals, and demonstrate professionalism while embracing company values.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and validate mineral ownership, conveyance documents, and production data relevant to core business processes.
  • Review leases and contracts within the Quorum Land System and apply relevant information.
  • Maintain and revise division order data in SAP/PRA, including understanding unit tracts and bearer groups.
  • Manage Joint Interest Billing information and carried interests.
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate processing of production volumes, revenue, and billing.
  • Analyze legal descriptions and unit map data for business operations.
  • Address inquiries from mineral owners and working interest partners on title issues and account questions.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather or provide necessary information.
  • Ensure proper filing, imaging, and indexing of documents for retrieval and analysis.
  • Support continuous improvement by promoting workflow visibility and measuring quality.
  • Conduct business according to company policies, Sarbanes-Oxley legislation, and system security protocols.


Qualifications:
Experience:

  • 5-8 years of oil and gas industry experience, preferably in division order.
  • Experience with PRA/SAP and Quorum Land Systems is beneficial.


Education, Training & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience. Certifications or degrees in Law, Petroleum Land Management, Lease and Title Analysis, or Division Order Analysis are a plus.


Core Competencies:

  • Solid knowledge of land administration, division order title opinions, and lease/royalty concepts.
  • Understanding of laws and regulatory provisions related to oil and gas extraction.
  • Expertise in contract administration and oil and gas operations.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret ownership transfers and related documents.
  • Familiarity with revenue and JIB deck setup and maintenance.
