ETRM Business Analyst

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Full-Time ETRM Business Analyst to support US based LNG export facility and service the global demand for North American natural gas. This Houston-based position will support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Possess a strong understanding of energy trading and risk management processes across front, middle, and back office functions, with a focus on natural gas and LNG trading and logistics.
• Demonstrate knowledge of natural gas and LNG contracts in the wholesale market, gas pricing, nominations and scheduling, and gas transmission and distribution.
• Have at least 5 years of experience with Endur (version 10 or higher), including its architecture, key modules, and data model.
• Expertise in deal modeling, lifecycle management, and product configuration within Endur, including instrument building, deal screen configuration, template creation, market data setup, risk valuation, P&L reporting, accounting, invoicing, settlements, and reporting.
• Design and propose solutions to address business challenges and support growth within the system.
• Act as a liaison between business users and IT, gathering requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and working with developers for implementation.
• Manage stakeholder relationships between Business and IT effectively.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for the Endur production environment.
• Contribute to the evolution of the system architecture.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of agile delivery methodology and experience working in a global team, effectively managing tasks, timelines, and progress reporting.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance/Economics, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 8 years as an Endur Business Analyst, supporting commercial commodities trading operations, ideally in natural gas (LNG experience is a plus).
  • Experience collaborating with commercial IT teams to provide functional expertise and assist in technical designs.
  • Knowledge of trade operation infrastructure, interfaces, and ETRM front-to-back business and functional flow.
  • Proven ability to drive and influence IT strategies by engaging stakeholders, expressing ideas, and challenging the status quo.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency in Endur or other ETRM systems, particularly in deal modeling, lifecycle management, market data, and P&L/risk reporting. SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of North American natural gas and LNG trading, including physical and financial aspects, gas scheduling, and front-to-back processes.
• Strong understanding of Openlink Endur and related trade operation infrastructure.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex gas and LNG value chain systems and their interdependencies across organizations.

• Full-time onsite role in a normal office environment.
