Job Description

Petroplan is recruiting an HR Business Partner on behalf of an established, Houston-based Oilfield Services company. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor to employees at all organizational levels, including senior management, by offering guidance, constructive feedback, and strategic solutions.

This role requires a strong business acumen, a big-picture vision, and a hands-on approach to drive growth and change within the organization through engagement and service delivery. The HR Business Partner will be part of the HR operations team, supporting the North America region (U.S. and Canada) as well as the Manufacturing and Global operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in an HR generalist or HR Business Partner role, or associate's degree and 8 years of experience, or at least 10 years of experience in an HR generalist or HR Business Partner role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • System Knowledge: Experience with Workforce Management or HRIS system data management and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry Experience: Experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Global Exposure: Experience with global or multinational organizations.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with UKGPro or Kronos.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Alignment: Partner with assigned clients to align HR strategies with business goals, providing advice on HR-related issues such as discipline, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
  • Staffing and Development: Collaborate with Regional HR Manager and Operations Managers to assess staffing needs, design organizational structures, define roles, and develop recruitment and talent development strategies.
  • HR Execution: Serve as the primary contact for HR matters for assigned clients, utilizing WIS Centers of Excellence to manage tasks and track details, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Compliance: Stay informed about legal requirements and government reporting regulations, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and reporting standards.
  • Business Strategy: Regularly meet with managers to understand business strategies, identify opportunities, and prioritize HR initiatives that support overall business objectives.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure HR data quality aligns with the organization's digital initiatives, analyze trends, and use workforce data to influence leaders and support decision-making.
  • Training Needs: Partner with clients to identify group and individual training and development needs.
  • Organizational Support: Provide guidance on reorganizations, restructures, acquisitions, and annual HR initiatives within the assigned client group.
  • Cultural Advocacy: Promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of the organization.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as required.
