Position Overview

Our client is an internationally recognized Oil & Gas EPC firm and is actively sourcing for a Senior Modular Engineer - Houston that will provide extensive experience in the design and execution of modular projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications, timelines, and client expectations.

Reports to: Engineering Manager
The Senior Modular Engineer will provide extensive experience in the design and execution of modular projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications, timelines, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
- Serve as the primary representative of the modular department in the Houston office.
- Define and implement modular strategies, including the preparation of design, logistics, and construction documents.
- Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, logistics, construction, and pre-commissioning.
Project Execution and Coordination
- Analyze technical and commercial documentation related to modular projects.
- Liaise with client representatives to ensure timely approvals and client satisfaction.
- Monitor project progress, prepare periodic reports, and address areas of concern.
Team Management
- Distribute responsibilities among key personnel and set objectives and monitoring indicators.
- Promote continuous improvement and implement lessons learned from previous modular projects.
Technical Oversight
- Control changes in the project scope, ensuring proper documentation and approval of change orders.
- Coordinate with design disciplines to define module boundaries and ensure adherence to modular strategy.
- Prepare modular engineering documents, including module indices, transportation drawings, and modular plot plans.
Conflict Resolution
- Address interferences and non-conformities during module design and execution in coordination with managers across disciplines.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure all staff comply with project procedures, specifications, and standards.
- Provide periodic updates on project status to the Project Director.

Requirements

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Experience
- 10 years in Oil & Gas (offshore and onshore) with a focus on modular projects and module fabrication yards.
Skills
- Expertise in modular design activities, including structural steel, piping, and weight control.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and tools.
