Company Overview: A leading provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas, the company operates two Louisiana-based export projects that cater to the global demand for North American natural gas. The organization supports the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies by leveraging innovative plant design configurations that offer efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital costs.
Position Summary: The Sr. Project Manager, Information Technology, is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining tools and systems that support LNG plants. This role involves conducting feasibility studies, selecting solutions, and designing and implementing business-driven technology applications and tools. The Sr. PM will manage project scope, design, development, and implementation of applications, software components, and tools that integrate into existing business systems. Additionally, the Sr. PM will ensure projects are delivered on schedule, on budget, and meet quality standards.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects related to the acquisition or development of software components or computer application systems.
  • Oversee vendors and contractors to ensure delivery of value and services as contracted.
  • Ensure timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality project delivery.
  • Plan team resource needs and collaborate with other managers to set clear expectations and roles for project team members.
  • Participate in process and technology re-engineering.
  • Analyze and recommend implementation options.
  • Provide business and technical integration across all related business activities.
  • Communicate plans, statuses, and issues to the leadership team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, computer science, or management information systems.
  • 7 years of professional experience solving business problems with technology solutions in an energy facility or related industry.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) experience required, with an understanding of designing, planning, and executing projects from start to finish, and managing and tracking progress on turnkey system or facility delivery.
  • Experience in application development, including:
    • Successful development and implementation of new technology.
    • Competency in managing and executing multiple or larger projects.
    • Successful development and implementation of new work processes or process improvements.
    • Working with stakeholders to develop solutions to complex business problems.
  • Ability to recommend, design, and implement technology solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Strong technical skills in directing technical professionals.
  • Skills in conceptualizing solutions, documenting them, and "selling" them to senior management.
  • Ability to develop and deliver projects using leading-edge technology where appropriate.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and system design skills.
  • Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
