Controls Engineer - Emerson Delta V Specialist

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage DeltaV control systems for various company projects.
• Collaborate with the company to determine control system requirements and develop technical specifications for DeltaV systems.
• Create control strategies, control narratives, and functional design specifications based on client needs.
• Program DeltaV systems, including configuring controllers, operator interfaces, and communication networks.
• Engage in testing and commissioning activities, such as loop testing, factory acceptance testing, and site acceptance testing.
• Diagnose and support DeltaV control systems in the field.
• Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Work with electrical, mechanical, and process engineers to provide integrated solutions for clients.
• Offer technical expertise and guidance to team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
• Over 5 years of experience in designing, programming, testing, and commissioning DeltaV control systems, including configuration and graphics.
• Comprehensive understanding of process control principles and applications, including loop tuning.
• Proficient in programming DeltaV hardware and software, including DeltaV Explorer, DeltaV Control Studio, and DeltaV Operate.
• Familiarity with control system networking and communication protocols, such as OPC, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Experience with other control system brands like Allen-Bradley or Honeywell is advantageous but not a substitute for DeltaV experience.
• Completion of Emerson training programs for DeltaV is highly desirable.
