Job Title: Mid-Senior Solar Development Manager

Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Solar Development Manager to lead the development of utility-scale solar projects from inception to commercial operation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in land acquisition, budgeting, financial modeling, permitting, and project management within the renewable energy industry.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Land Acquisition:
o Identify, evaluate, and secure suitable land parcels for solar project development.
o Negotiate land lease agreements, easements, and other real estate contracts.
o Conduct due diligence assessments to ensure site feasibility and compliance with regulatory requirements.

2. Budgeting and Financial Modeling:
o Develop project budgets and financial models to assess the economic viability of solar projects.
o Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including NPV, IRR, and ROI calculations.
o Work closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure project budgets are accurately forecasted and managed throughout the development lifecycle.

3. Permitting and Regulatory Compliance:
o Manage the permitting process for solar projects, including environmental assessments, zoning approvals, and interconnection agreements.
o Liaise with regulatory agencies, landowners, and stakeholders to navigate complex permitting requirements and secure necessary approvals.
o Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations throughout the development process.

4. Project Management:
o Oversee all aspects of project development, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
o Coordinate interdisciplinary project teams, including engineers, environmental consultants, and legal counsel, to achieve project milestones.
o Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing potential challenges or bottlenecks proactively.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:
o Cultivate positive relationships with landowners, community members, government officials, and other stakeholders to foster support for solar projects.
o Represent the company at public meetings, hearings, and community outreach events to address concerns and promote project benefits.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in solar project development, with a focus on land acquisition, permitting, and financial analysis.
* Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.
* Proven ability to manage complex projects within budget and schedule constraints.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in financial modeling software (e.g., Excel, financial modeling tools).
